Crazy like a Foxx

There are plenty of GOP crazies in Congress, but at the top of the heap is Rep. Virginia Foxx. Here she goes again, this time stating civil rights and progressive environmental legislation were Republican bills and the Democrats were against them. She also charged the Dems were guilty of being revisionists. Oy, oy, oy… here’s Virginia, come on, come on down Sweet Virginia…

“Just as we were the people who passed the civil rights bills back in the ’60s without very much help from our colleagues across the aisle,” said Fox. “They love to engage in revisionist history.”

Here’s a tribute to Sweet Virginia by the Rolling Stones from London 1995.

This crazy person makes me think of what Aunt Bea would be like on dumb pills, steroids and maybe a little meth mixed in for good measure and command of her facts. What a complete moron. If she weren’t in such a position of responsiblility, I could see the humor in her blathering.

Good description. Wonkette pointed out today she freely uses the term “tarbaby” on the house floor. WaPo described her as a female Jesse Helms, he was someone she adored, a man quite proud of his Southern racist roots. Virginia intends to carry on with that torch.

As for the humor in her blathering, a couple of years ago a Kossack attended the “Virginia Foxx Listening Tour” in 2006, she sat quietly listening while Virginia blathered on and then concluded the meeting. The Kossack spoke out about when do “we” get to ask our questions? She responded: this is a listening tour and you are to listen to me! Ha, doesn’t that suck?
