A lovely day in Chattanooga

We went downtown for the Head of the Hooch races this morning. I love Chattanooga it reminds me of Europe because it is a walking city full of history and art. The mountains that surround it and the river that runs through it makes this town exceptional. The long and turbulent history makes this town fascinating.

Beautiful art in Chattanooga. This one is in front of the Hunter Museum. It looks like driftwood but is made of bronze.

Beautiful! I wish I had been there, but I was planting trees in Highland Park! There is so much to do on these gorgeous autumn days!!

Glad to hear you planted some trees, Alice. What kind were they? I love this time of year, too. The cool, brisk air and the beautiful color… yes, I love autumn.

Sorry for the late reply! This got lost in my inbox somehow! Anyway, we planted Black Tupelo and Trident Maple trees. Nineteen of them! It was fun!
